Gyro and accelerometers in the AirPods work together to track your head movements - so it sounds like you're in the center of songs and scenes.
Adaptive EQ: The music is automatically adapted to the shape of your ear. Inward-facing microphones pick up what you're hearing and adjust the low and mid frequencies. This is how the finest details are reproduced in every song.
Longer battery life: The AirPods have one hour more battery life compared to the AirPods (2nd generation). This allows up to 6 hours of playback and up to 4 hours of talk time. An improved skin recognition sensor turns the AirPods on or off, saving battery when necessary. A charge of 5 minutes is enough for around an hour of playback or talk time. And the MagSafe charging case gives you over 30 hours of battery life and is compatible with all MagSafe and wireless chargers.
Protection against sweat and water: The AirPods and the MagSafe charging case are classified under IPX4 and protected against water and sweat - so you can wear them in the rain and hard training.
Absolutely magical: It's easy to set up - just take them out of the case and they're ready to go. Automatically switch between your Apple devices. The in-ear recognition distinguishes between your ear and other surfaces. You can use the notification announcement feature to have Siri read your notifications to you. And with audio sharing, songs or programs can be easily shared with someone else between two pairs of AirPods.
